KIKE ROLDAN: “My journey in the music world has been an incredible adventure. From the early days, I knew I wanted to create and share music that resonated deeply with people. Being a resident DJ at iconic venues like Space has been one of the most rewarding experiences. Space allowed me to connect with a diverse crowd and hone my skills, shaping my identity as a DJ.
Performing at festivals like Rapture Festival and participating in Burning Man in both 2022 and 2023 were significant milestones. These events are more than just gigs; they are cultural experiences that challenge you to bring your best and connect with audiences on a profound level. Burning Man, in particular, is a transformative experience that pushes the boundaries of creativity and community.
Discovering Warung in 2004 was a turning point for me. The beach club concept, inspired by the jungles and beaches of Bali and infused with Asian culture and symbols like Buddhas and dragons, was fascinating. It became an obsession for me to someday perform there or be part of that brand. Now, as a resident DJ at Warung USA, it’s a dream come true. The opportunity to bring the Warung experience to various cities across the U.S. in 2024 and 2025 is thrilling. We’re planning to start with key events during Miami Music Week, and I can’t wait to share the unique Warung vibe with new audiences.
Throughout my career, I’ve faced numerous challenges, but these have only helped me grow and mature as an artist. The difficult times in 2010 and 2018 were particularly tough, but they were pivotal in shaping my resilience and drive. On the flip side, the positive moments, like my residency at Space and my performances at major festivals, have been incredibly fulfilling and have solidified my passion for this art form.
Looking ahead, the future is exciting. Touring with the Warung franchise and continuing to explore new musical landscapes is a journey I’m eager to embark on. The electronic music scene is ever-evolving, and being a part of its dynamic growth is something I cherish deeply.”
